July 9, 2002 - Sent out invitations to about 20 online friends. About half responded. Posted notice on www.Measurection.com. Got more new members. Began visiting Yahoo Chat Room "Married Men....." and inviting others.
July 31, 2002 - 61 members registered.
August 9, 2002 - 68 members total registered -- first 2 left, leaving 66. They said they were afraid their wives would see the name in their Internet history.
August 25, 2002 - Changed the name to MMA2OM to protect member privacy.
August 26, 2002 - Posted notice of name change and invitation on several Internet sites, Yahoo Groups, and MSN Groups.
August 27, 2002 - Day of greatest growth, registered 21 new members bringing total to 103, surpassing the founder's goal of 100 by August 31.
August 31, 2002 - 109 members registered.
September 4, 2002 - Founder received an e-mail from Community Zero that it would become a pay site as of October 1, 2002.
September 7, 2002 - Working on alternative locations. Just found that CZ had e-mailed all members of pending change in policy. New registrations, posts and visits began to fall. E-mailed a "don't panic" message to all members.
September 20, 2002 - Put the future of MMA2OM up to the members. Began a poll on what to do -- move to Measurection, move to ISPHosting, or something else.
September 25, 2002 - The vote is overwhelmingly in favor of Measurection -- 30 votes to 3 for each of the others. Announced the move in an e-mail to members. Membership stands at 121.
September 27, 2002 - At 4 pm eastern time the forum was complete -- way ahead of the target date -- and was opened to the public. E-mailed 120 members with the news. Thanks to Josh for his help and to everyone who made the move with us.
October 3, 2002 - Josh, the Wizard in Chief, created our own first Webpage. Members can now logon to MMA2OM directly. Thanks again to Josh and to everyone for such a warm welcome.
May 19, 2003 - Name of Community Zero site was changed to "The Original MMA2OM" and announcement was made that the site would be reopened as a free site for a limited trial.
June 16, 2003 - Accepted offer from Threads Hosting to host a new website; registered domain name MMA2OM.
June 22, 2003 - Began previews of new web forums; registered first new member.
July 1, 2003 - Official opening of the website: www.mma2om.com
July 15, 2003 - Registered 100th member at website.
August 22, 2003 - Member Number 200 registered.
August 29, 2003 - At approximately 9 AM, Florida Bob made the 1,000th post to the forums.
October 18, 2003 - Meltwitty, Member Number 300, registered at 11:18 a.m. Published new webpages with new logos.
December 7, 2003 - "Dav" registered as our 400 th member. Posts were over 4,200.
December 28, 2003 - 4:40 AM EST, "mhm4mwm" became the 500th member. Posts were slightly less than 5,000.
January 12, 2004 - Introduced our own Chatroom.
March 7, 2004 - Josh, owner of Threads Hosting purchased 50% of www.VertexHost.com and moved site to the newer VertexHost servers in CA.
May 8, 2004 - Signed up 800th member. Sent out first "newsletter."
July 1, 2004 - To celebrate our first anniversary as a freestanding website, Glenn of Coos, OR, became our 1,000 member. Approximately 9,500 posts active.
July 1, 2005 - Growth continues at our second anniversary - over 2,500 members or about 100 new members every month. Continue improvements to the webpages and to forums.
